Chyenne Knight Ready to Embrace 'Moms on Tour' on the LPGA

GALLOWAY, N.J. – From motherhood to mentor.
Two-time LPGA tour winner and Team ShopRite member Cheyenne Knight is on maternity leave this season after giving birth to her son, but she's set to return to competition in 2027. In the meantime, she's embracing her role as an ambassador for the game.
"It's crazy being back here because I played here last year, and I was pregnant," Knight said during the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern Media Day on Monday, May 4. "It's kind of brought back a lot of memories of playing while pregnant. I wasn't feeling my best that week. I had a little bit of morning sickness."
That's right. The Solheim Cup veteran played in last year's ShopRite LPGA tournament while three months pregnant. Her last time competing on the course came last August at The Standard Portland Classic. Four months later, Knight and her husband, NFL quarterback Easton Stick, welcomed Cooper Michael Stick to the world.
This year, Knight joined the growing list of golfers on the LPGA's "Moms on Tour." The LPGA introduced the program in 2019 (which was the year Knight joined the tour). It offers flexible time off and child-care services to mothers competing on tour.
Knight knows returning to competition next year won't be easy. But thanks to the LPGA's "Moms on Tour" program, she knows a support system is in place.
"The LPGA does a great job with the daycare. I mean, without that, you couldn't play golf," Knight said. "Yeah, it's amazing that golf is a sport that you can come back and play, and the LPGA really helps you with that.
"Being able to drop him off while I go play, I'm really excited and looking forward to that," Knight continued. "The moms on the LPGA, it's hard. My No. 1 job is being a mom, and golf will kind of come second. But I'm really excited for the challenge of that, and, you know, to say that I did play and hopefully win as a mom."
Heading to Seaview Golf Club and Hotel in Galloway, N.J. for Media Day gave Knight a chance to take a peek at the course. As you would expect, her itch to compete at the highest level is paramount. For the 29-year-old Texas native, it's about regaining her strength and hopefully tapping into her newfound power.
"Mom strength would be nice, because I do need to hit further," Knight said. "I've carried my son a lot, so at least my left arm is going to be really strong, and my back. He loves to be picked up, and if I put him down, he's not happy."
Knight knows her return next year isn't about just trying to keep her tour card.
"I'm not coming back just to tee up and play," Knight said. "I'm coming back to compete. It's going to take some time for me in the offseason, but that's the goal. I want to win. I'm striving to do that.
"More so, I want to win in front of my son," Knight added. "He may not remember it, but I will, and it will be special. Maybe I'll get to have him on the 18th green when I do."
Knight has competed in the ShopRite LPGA four times dating back to 2019. As an ambassador for Team ShopRite, Knight will share her experience by mentoring former Michigan State star Brooke Biermann, who will make her LPGA debut at the Jersey Shore.
"It's crazy to think I'm a veteran," Knight said. "Golf is a cutthroat sport. It helps to have girls in your corner. For me to be viewed as a mentor and to allow me to help these girls is a huge honor."
