Henderson Returns to One of Her Favorite Stops on the LPGA Tour

GALLOWAY, N.J. – One of LPGA’s most recognizable names takes on one of the Tour’s most recognizable events at Seaview Golf Club this weekend. That’s because Brooke Henderson, the 2022 winner of ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern, will be making her tenth appearance on the Bay Course.

Despite a slow start to the 2026 season, Henderson currently sits No. 26 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. The Canadian has missed the cut twice and has finished outside of the top 30 five times. But her ranking is boosted by that third-place showing at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Fla. back in January.

“So it was a great start. It has been a little bit slow since then, but hopefully it'll be a good summer starting with this event here,” Henderson said. “I do love three-day events. I think they're really fun. You have to definitely start out fast. You don't really have time to be slow or to make too many mistakes.”

Another positive for Henderson is she consistently performs at Seaview. The 28-year-old has finished inside the top 10 three times: 2020, 2021 and 2022, when she picked up one of her 14 career wins. Henderson has also finished inside the top 25 at the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern three times as well: 2015, 2019 and 2025.

So Henderson is confident she can get her swing right down the shore.

“I feel like I know the course really well, and I definitely have a lot of good memories here, which is all really nice,” said Henderson. “It can give you a little bit of confidence while you're out there. I feel like I have a good feel for the course layout and how the holes will play generally.”

Henderson knows firsthand what winning this tournament can do for a player’s confidence. Back in 2022 when she won the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern, it gave her some much-needed momentum.

“Really helped boost my career and the rest of that summer in a great way. Gave me a lot of momentum and a lot of confidence. I was able to go on and win my second major, Evian, like a month later after winning here,” Henderson added.

Henderson is a regular in Galloway, N.J. and so is her sister, Brittany Henderson, who has been on the bag since 2015. But Brittany will be a spectator this year while on maternity leave.

Despite adjusting to a new caddie, Henderson says her sister remains in the circle of trust.

“I still talk to Brit all the time. Texted her this morning a bunch of times,” Henderson said. “She's had so much experience on all these courses as well so she's still extremely valuable in a caddie role even though she's not caddying for me now.”

The sisters will no doubt have much to discuss after Henderson’s first round on Friday. Her experience and familiarity with the course could be just what she needs to pick up her first win of the season at the ShopRite LPGA Powered by Wakefer
