Knight and Muñoz Make an Impact Beyond the Course

Galloway, N.J. – As the 2026 ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern returns to the Bay Course at Seaview Hotel and Golf Club this week, Team ShopRite has returned with it, featuring Cheyenne Knight, Azahara Muñoz, Gianna Clemente, and Rachel Kuehn.

Knight and Muñoz are both LPGA Tour veterans and part of the “Moms on Tour.” Knight, who is currently on maternity leave, is a two-time winner LPGA and 2023 Solheim Cup team member.

Although Knight is not competing in this year's ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern, she remains heavily involved with Team ShopRite as a mentor.

"I love the mentorship program. I didn't really consider myself a mentor, but I am getting older...It's a really cool thing. I don't really think any other sponsor does that," Knight said.

"I think golf is an individual kind of selfish, competitive sports, but I think us going to all the dinners and getting to spend time together has really, you know, kind of blossomed the friendship in a way," Knight added.

"This week she is dedicating time to teaching golf to those of the Special Olympics of New Jersey community, sharing smiles with the children of Team Smile and taking part in the ShopRite Community Luncheon.

"I just love to try to make their day and just be kind of a positive impace or let them have some fun" Knight said.

For five-time Ladies European Tour Champion, Munoz, Team ShopRite means just as much. She spoke about her experience mentoring sponsor invites and fellow Team ShopRite members, Kuehn and Clemente. "We spent the last couple of nights doing dinners," Munoz said. "You get to spend time with them. You get to know them a little bit and for sure root for them in the future."

Not only do Knight and Munoz believe the mentorship program will help Kuehn and Clemente transition to life on the tour, but also Kuehn and Clemente believe they will benefit from the mentorship and experience of their teammates.

Kuehn sharing her excitement of being a part of Team ShopRite, "So really thankful for the invite, really excited to be here, and really proud to be associated with Team ShopRite," said Kuehn. "They give back to the community in really cool ways....just really glad to be able to be associated with them."

Knight and Munoz continue to make an impact through mentorship and community outreach, helping shape the game they know and love both on and off the course.
